Idris and Sabrina Elba: call for investments in rural agriculture to help fight hunger.

This week to mark World Food Day, the Elbas called on countries to invest in IFAD to fight the growing hunger crisis, empower farmers, and create resilient communities in places like Maboikandor, Sierra Leone. Last December the couple, who are now global ambassadors for IFAD ,took part in a field trip back to the region where Idris Elba's father was born. Organized by the United Nations’ International Fund for Agriculture (IFAD) and Global Citizen they learnt how to IFAD's investments are making a dramatic difference to the lives of families in this region.
