Agriculture & Conservation
Agriculture is a cornerstone of Africa’s development. It is a key driver for economic growth, which is what allows communities to lift themselves out of poverty. Compared with investment in other sectors, farming is two to three times more effective at reducing poverty and food insecurity, according to IFAD.
For many years, Sabrina and Idris, have been vocal advocates for rural African communities, promoting the investment of billions of dollars into agricultural initiatives that benefit farmers across the continent. By advocating for such investments, they have contributed to building a sustainable food system that meets the needs of both farmers and consumers.
With the Elba Hope Foundation, we will build on that work by supporting initiatives dedicated to providing African communities economic mobility while preserving the beautiful and fragile ecosystems in the developing world.

PROJECT TRUST
Project TRUST is a social enterprise that operates in West Africa. There is great agricultural and human potential in Sierra Leone, yet real challenges exist to unlocking this potential. To this end, we have established agricultural services and consulting operations in Sierra Leone. We will serve over 15,000 farmers and cooperatives through our community-based Trading Hubs. Project TRUST was initiated with the vision to create a transparent and resilient cocoa sector, strengthening the position of the individual cocoa farmer while ensuring the protection and regeneration of forests and cocoa farmlands. Our overarching goal is to advance food security and enhance the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
