Sabrina Elba

Sabrina Dhowre Elba is a CEO, Model and Activist. Born in Vancouver, Canada and of Somali Descent, Sabrina is passionate about gender equality and promoting the empowerment of women and girls worldwide, and was appointed UN Goodwill Ambassador for IFAD in April 2020.

An advocate for human rights and food security, Sabrina also works with various civil society organizations including Farm Africa, as a co-chair for the European Board for Global Citizen, a board member on environmental issues for Conservation International, an ambassador for mothers2mothers and patron for S.T.O.R.M. Domestic Violence Charity. She has been a keynote speaker at leading global events.

Sabrina’s commitments to diversity, equality, and the climate echo throughout all her work, including in her well-being brand, S’ABLE Labs (Elba’s backwards), which she co-created alongside her husband Idris. S’ABLE Labs is a multifaceted well-being initiative driven by purposeful partnership and conscious communities. In July 2022, S’ABLE Labs launched five vegan genderless skincare products featuring responsibly sourced ingredients in collaboration with smallholder farmers from around the globe.

This year, Sabrina was a recipient of a TIME100 Impact award, and was awarded The Crystal Award from World Economic Forum. Sabrina also recently received an Honorable Mention alongside Idris Elba at the United Nations SDG Action Campaign Awards.
